Certification & Credentialing
Earning your certification increases your knowledge of food safety and nutrition and demonstrates your commitment to your profession. The SNS Credential is a mark of excellence and achievement that reflects the expertise needed to manage school nutrition programs in today’s challenging climate.
Both of these are great accomplishments and should be recognized as such. This is why SNASD gives cost breaks for state conference registration to those holding certification or the SNS credential.

- 8 hours of Core Nutrition (online or in-person ICN training)
- 8 hours of Core Food Safety (online or in-person ICN training)
- Send in completed application
THAT'S IT!
This will get you Level 1 Certification. There are 4 levels of certification.

- Study materials and/or take the prep course
- Pass the exam
